THE PROJECT GOAL

The Project aims at equipping parents and families to strengthen the fabric of society by eliminating child abuse and preserving the family unit by offering workshops in the various areas, counseling and support in poverty stricken and deprived communities.

THE PROJECT’S OBJECTIVES

  • Decrease in number of children removed from families
  • Parents equipped with parenting skills

Objective 2:
Ensure families and family members are strengthened through counseling on a personal basis. (Many welfare organisations do not provide assistance on this level, as personal and consistent counseling will be given to families until change in destructive behaviour is attained)
Expected results:

  • Restored families
  • Abusers that are no longer abusers, but have become restored and are functioning well within the family
  • Fulfilled and well-functioning families
Support systems for families who find themselves in difficult situations
  • Stronger communities with less heartache.
  • Less children that find themselves on the street as a result of dysfunctional families.
  • Less children that become involved in crime.
  • Women that are fulfilled and that can in turn reach out to the communities they live in as they themselves are no longer at risk – decrease in wife abuse
  • A system where volunteers and professional people work hand in hand in a holistic approach
  • Decrease in number of children removed from families
  • Parents equipped with the necessary coping skills

  • Protected children
  • Restorative justice
  • Decrease in domestic violence

  • With regard to AIDS – prevent the stigmatization of the disease
  • Support systems to PWA (persons with AIDS) through informed family members and friends
  • Personal counseling will ensure that PWA can cope better with the disease

Objective 4:
