Adopt a child

Make a difference in life!

Leave a legacy of good in this world by taking one of our children under your wings and providing him or her with an opportunity to succeed in this life. You have been blessed with many opportunities and things that you take for granted. The fact that you're reading this on the Internet is a pretty good indication. Most of our kids have never heard of the Internet! So why not make a difference in someone's life who really needs it.

The real deal

There are many scams and false claims on the Internet and unfortunately these trends make it difficult for us to win your trust. Please note that Family Restoration Services is a registered Non Profit Organization (NPO) and a member of Child Welfare South Africa. The founder of Family Restoration Services, Tia Wessels, spent 30 years in the service of Child Welfare South Africa, including the role of National Director. Our drive, fueled by Tia's passion and love for children, is to help these kids and not to make money off of them.

How do you eat an elephant?

You do not have to take on a huge burden and feel that the child is your responsibility alone. An Elephant is eaten little piece by little piece and similarly each small donation adds up to provide tremendous opportunities to our children. In a truly poor environment such as our kids are used to, a $10 donation goes a long way. You can decide whether you want to make a once off donation or where you prefer to get involved in a kids life by giving regular monthly donations. Every bit helps.

There is a tremendous need for assistance in caring for the children at Thamsanqa Homes and others under the care of Family Restoration Services. Most people cringe or lose interest when money is mentioned, but unfortunately it is a hard fact of life: It takes money to care for these children and provide them with the opportunities that most of us take for granted.
